About RAWSO Constructors RAWSO is a leading heavy civil contractor in Middle Tennessee, specializing in earthwork, underground utilities, public works, and infrastructure projects. Your Responsibilities as a Utility Foreman Supervise daily activities of utility crews in the field, including installation of storm sewer, water, and sanitary sewer systems. Monitor crew productivity and ensure tasks are executed efficiently and according to plans and specifications. Implement and enforce jobsite safety protocols in alignment with company and OSHA standards. Coordinate with project managers and superintendents to meet schedule milestones and resolve field challenges. Review plans, locate utilities, and mark jobsite layout with attention to accuracy and safety. Monitor use of tools and equipment, ensuring proper operation and minimal downtime. Maintain accurate daily logs of crew activities, materials used, and project progress. Communicate job expectations clearly and provide leadership, motivation, and mentorship to crew members. Adjust work plans as needed based on site conditions, weather, or delivery schedules. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 3+ years of field leadership experience in heavy civil construction with a focus on underground utilities. Proven ability to read and interpret construction plans, utility drawings, and specifications. Proficiency in managing crews of laborers and equipment operators. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. High school diploma or equivalent (required); additional technical training or certifications a plus. Familiarity with pipe lasers, trench safety practices, blueprints, and locates. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions. Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
