POSITION SUMMARY
We are hiring Sprinkler Fitters of all experience levels Apprentice, Journeyman, and Foreman to join our La Vergne field team. Sprinkler Fitters are responsible for the installation, modification, and repair of fire sprinkler systems per Ironsmith Fire’s approved shop drawings, NFPA standards, and local codes. Work includes steel and CPVC piping, fire pumps, standpipes, hose systems, and occasional underground/site assistance. Whether you’re just starting your career or bringing years of leadership experience, we have a place for you on our team.
PAY & OPPORTUNITIES
Competitive pay from $18/hr to $35/hr based on experience Room for rapid growth and leadership opportunities Foremen may lead crews and coordinate directly with superintendents Apprentices will receive mentorship and hands-on training
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with or under a foreman to install and test sprinkler systems Interpret shop drawings accurately and notify supervisors of any discrepancies Maintain quality standards and ensure jobsite safety Assist with minor onsite fabrication Adhere to Ironsmith Fire standards, policies, and job schedules Train and mentor less experienced team members (for Journeyman and Foreman levels) Embrace the Ironsmith motto:
OLD SCHOOL GRIT, NEW AGE EDGE REQUIREMENTS
Field experience (2+ years preferred for Journeyman; 5+ years and leadership experience preferred for Foreman) Basic ability to read blueprints and sprinkler shop drawings Working knowledge of NFPA codes and safety regulations Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight Backflow certification, OSHA, or NICET are a plus
