Job Summary:
The Boatyard Laborer will assist with the handling, transport, and general upkeep of boats and equipment within the yard. This role requires experience operating forklifts and other construction or yard machinery, as well as a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts and other machinery (e.g., pressure washers, lifts, trailers) to move, launch, and haul vessels Support boat storage, blocking, and securing processes Assist with general yard maintenance, including cleaning and organizing workspaces Perform minor repairs or prep work under supervision Assist with bottom painting of boats Adhere to safety guidelines and operational procedures at all times Work as part of a team to ensure efficient, professional service to customers
Requirements:
Experience operating forklifts (forklift certification preferred but not required) Familiarity with construction or yard machinery (skid steers, man lifts, etc.) Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions Strong attention to safety and detail Dependable and punctual with a strong team-oriented mindset
