EHC Construction is seeking a dedicated and reliable Laborer to support civil infrastructure projects, including road construction and public works. The Laborer will perform a variety of essential manual tasks on construction sites, assisting skilled workers, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and contributing to the efficient completion of civil construction projects. This role requires the ability to work in varying weather conditions, adapting to changes in temperature, humidity, and precipitation.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Preparation:
Assist in preparing and maintaining a safe, clean job site. Experience with Loader, Roller, End Dump and power tools safely and effectively to support site activities.
Material Handling:
Transport and distribute materials throughout the job site to designated areas, ensuring smooth workflow and organization.
Assisting Skilled Workers:
Provide support to the foreman, operators, and other crew members by handling materials, shoveling, setting up equipment, and performing various tasks as instructed. Collaborate to ensure work is completed on time and to quality standards.
Heavy Equipment Support:
Aid in the operation of heavy machinery by preparing the work area, securing materials, and assisting equipment operators during grading, excavation, or lifting tasks.
Cleaning and Organizing:
Maintain a clean and organized work environment by disposing of waste, clearing debris, and properly storing tools and materials.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
Equipment Maintenance:
Assist in the routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order for optimal performance.
Roadwork/Sitework Assistance:
Participate in road construction tasks, such as grading, paving, and installing road signs, barriers, and other infrastructure components.
Weather Adaptability:
Work effectively in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, or wind. Adapt to environmental changes to maintain productivity and safety.
Additional Labor Support:

Requirements:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in general labor or construction (preferred but not required). Physical stamina and strength to perform physically demanding tasks. Ability to follow instructions and work well with a team. Knowledge of basic construction materials, tools, and methods. Strong attention to detail and focus on safety.
