Position Overview:
We’re seeking a hands-on, experienced Crew Leader to oversee the layout and excavation (“layout and dig”) phase of custom pool construction projects. You’ll supervise a small team, operate heavy equipment (primarily excavators), and ensure that pool layout and excavation are performed with precision, efficiency, and safety. ________________________________________
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of 3 crew members during layout and excavation phases Perform accurate pool layouts using plans, measurements, and laser levels Operate excavators and other earthmoving equipment safely and effectively Ensure excavation is completed to precise depth, shape, and grade specifications Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Communicate with project managers and other crews to ensure seamless workflow Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during layout or digging Uphold high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism on every site ________________________________________
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in swimming pool construction, with a focus on layout and excavation Proficient in operating excavators and using laser levels, transit equipment, and tape layout Strong leadership skills with experience supervising construction crews Solid understanding of pool plans, excavation specs, and job site safety practices Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and grade elevations Reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in varying conditions Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus) ________________________________________
