Bonita Spgs, FL Job Details Full-time $18 – $22 an hour 20 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Residential painting Construction painting Customer service English Mid-level High school diploma or GED Driver’s License Commercial painting Hand tools Full Job Description We are looking for a very skilled Painter with a great attitude and experience running small to medium jobs for a small yet very reputable and successful business 25+ years strong, to paint interior and exterior of residential homes, as well as prep and apply custom epoxy floors. The vast majority of our work consists of custom interior repaints (about 80%) and custom exterior repaints and garage floors (20%). We work in Naples (Collier) as well as Bonita Springs and Estero (Lee except Ft. Myers), and perform absolutely “Zero New Construction Painting”. Potential candidate must have excellent painting knowledge in selecting the right material for the job. They should have experience in painting with various tools and in various heights and spaces while observing all safety measures. They must be reliable and possess great attention to detail in completing their duties.
The goal is to deliver highest-quality painting workmanship to our customers. Pay is negotiable pending proving experience upon completion of a 30 day probationary period (eligible for a raise after 45 days) Responsibilities and Duties Follow job scope and field instructions. Examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary to complete Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures, ladder-jack, etc. Prepare all surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, priming, fixing cracks, etc. Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material. caulk, plaster, brush grade, knife grade, etc.) Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture Paint surfaces according to manufacturers instructions with various tools (brush, roller, sprayer, etc.) Must be able to cut clean straight lines. Apply varnish, epoxy, and other finishes for staining, garage floors, driveways, and pool decks.
MUST HAVES
•”Current” Drivers license and reliable transportation and tools of the trade A solid history showing experience as a “Florida” residential painter Excellent knowledge of residential and some light commercial painting applications, and proper materials. Very strong knowledge of residential painting techniques Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns, sprayers, rollers, etc.) Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders ranging up to 32ft, etc. Conscientious with great attention to detail ( This is a very important part of your daily work) High school diploma/GED Showing up “on time” five days a week is a must, with 8 hour work days. Plus opportunities to run $ side jobs once you have proven your skills. Please understand this is a working supervisory role. In charge of jobs and people but not looking for someone to sit in a van and smoke. You will have a phone interview with the owner and then an early coffee or lunch meeting for an at least one hour face to face to interview for the position and then meet and walk some current jobs to get your professional take and opinion.
