Position Summary:

The Construction Laborer plays a vital role inHeavy/Civil Construction by performing diverse tasks such as sitepreparation, material handling, and equipment operation.

Emphasizing safety, reliability, and teamwork, this positionensures high-quality results and contributes to the success ofconstruction projects in dynamic outdoor environments.

Responsibilities:

Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies andprocedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and nearmisses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety,first in everything we do. Must understand and comply with all Company safety policies andprocedures. Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possiblehazards. Excavate by hand ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, orcompact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks,shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes. Position, join, align, or seal structural components, such asconcrete wall sections or pipes. Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, ortools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according toproject plans or specifications. Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete, using saws,hammers, etc. Complete equipment reports on rack truck, compressors. Must have knowledge and understanding of the procedures to usethe tools and equipment safely and properly. Organize and maintain tool trailers in a neat and orderlyfashion.

Qualifications:

Must have 2-5 years of Heavy/Civil Constructionexperience. Must be able to follow verbal instructions. Maintain good health status and flexibility to bend, push,pull, stoop and/or twist. Must be able to perform strenuous work in varying weatherconditions.
