We are looking for field staff to join our team! Summary Moves soil, equipment, and materials, digs holes, and assists supervisors and operators in landscaping grounds by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- General Construction duties
- Regional travel is mandatory
- Safe use and maintenance of all tools and equipment
- Effect of temperature on use of power tools and equipment
- Clearing site debris, falling and bucking
- Loading materials for transport; transporting and stocking materials. Rigging and signaling
- Controlling vehicular traffic moving through construction projects by placing traffic control signs and markers or barricades according to plans, directing traffic and pedestrians through the site using hand and flag signals and informing drivers and pedestrians to detour routes
- Recognition of hazardous materials
- Cleaning site area
- Signaling operators of heavy equipment
- Performing backfill and compaction operations, using manual or power tool methods
- Erecting variety of temporary protective fencing, such as snow fencing
- Placing topsoil to finish grade, using such hand tools as shovel or rake
- Installing, maintaining and using watering equipment
- Applying fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, herbicides and other such materials; maintaining safety and clean up precautions
