Job Summary:
We are seeking a Metallurgical Laboratory Technician (Met Lab Tech)/General Construction Labor to join our team and support our mining operations. This role plays a critical part in providing field and plant metallurgical support through the sampling and testing of phosphate rock prospect core samples and plant samples. The data collected and analyzed will assist mine planning, engineering, and operations management in evaluating mining plans, operating conditions, and ore reserves. Are You Our Next Met Lab Tech? As a Met Lab Tech, you will be part of a team that ensures the accuracy and reliability of sampling and testing procedures, contributing to efficient and effective mining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine sampling and testing of phosphate rock prospect core samples and plant samples. Operate and maintain various laboratory equipment, such as core washers and flotation machines. Conduct plant tests and sampling related to mineral processing operations. Carry out processing and testing procedures on matrix prospect core samples. Perform routine preventative maintenance on lab equipment. Support additional job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized testing procedures. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as needed. Basic mechanical aptitude for maintaining lab equipment is a plus.
