General Laborer Interstate Cold Storage Inc. Sumterville, FL 33585 Polar Leasing Company is seeking a full-time general labor position for our location in Sumterville, Florida. The ideal candidate will be a hard – working individual able to undertake a variety of tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be performing repairs on our units at the hub in Florida.
Responsibilities:
Power wash Polar Leasing units. Cut, remove and patch fiberglass. Sand, prep and paint materials as required for repairs and finishing. Ensure all surfaces meet quality standards after repair is completed. Forklift certified or willingness to become certified. Safely tear out old refrigeration units, condensers and evaporators. Assist in the installation or basic assembly of new units. General manual labor. Perform basic assembly tasks. Load and/or unload materials or tools as needed.
Experience and Education:
Prior experience in general labor or construction. High school diploma.
Competencies:
Follow safety protocols and ensure proper disposal of old equipment and materials. Prior experience in general labor or construction. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Physical stamina. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift/move heavy objects. Ability to understand and follow directions. Technical expertise. Detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines.
