Varies based on business demand; schedule may include nights and weekends As a Grading Crew Laborer , you will support equipment operators and supervisors with site preparation, grading, material handling, and general labor tasks. This role is key to keeping projects moving smoothly while fulfilling First Environmental’s mission: to fix our customers’ problems and make them happy. Requirements Willingness to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, and lift repeatedly Reliable, punctual, and able to work on your feet all day Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset A self-starter with a positive attitude and commitment to safety Ability to follow instructions and contribute to a positive team environment Pass a complete pre-employment physical exam, including DOT physical Pass drug and alcohol screening Acceptable security background record Maintain an acceptable driving record (per insurance requirements) Ability to understand and apply safety training requirements Previous construction or grading experience is a plus, but not required Duties / Responsibilities Assist equipment operators and supervisors with daily grading operations Set grade stakes and help with project layout Load, unload, and move materials across the job site Use tools such as shovels, rakes, hand tools, and compactors Spot equipment to ensure safety during operations Clean and maintain job sites, equipment, and tools Follow directions, maintain safety, and contribute to a productive, respectful crew environment Compensation Hourly, non-exempt position Pay based on experience and qualifications Overtime opportunities based on project needs Benefits package available upon hire
