As a General Laborer in retail construction, you will support the construction team by performing various manual tasks to ensure the efficient and safe completion of retail space projects. Your role is crucial in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment while assisting skilled tradespeople and adhering to project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Preparation & Cleanup:
Clear debris, remove hazardous materials, and prepare the site for construction activities.
Material Handling:
Unload, transport, and distribute construction materials to appropriate locations on-site.
Assisting Skilled Trades:
Support carpenters, electricians, and other trades by providing tools, materials, and assistance as needed.
Temporary Structures:
Erect and dismantle scaffolding, barricades, and other temporary structures to facilitate construction activities.
Equipment Operation:
Operate basic construction equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries on-site.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in construction or a related field is advantageous but not required.
Skills:
