Skilled Construction Laborer 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Atlanta, GA 30303 Memco is looking for a reliable and experienced Skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. This role requires a broad knowledge of construction methods and techniques, including carpentry, framing, drywall, concrete, and general labor tasks. The ideal candidate is hardworking, safety-conscious, and capable of performing a variety of tasks with minimal supervision. Mon – Fri ; sometimes
Saturday’s Pay:
$24 – $26/hr Full time and long term position
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a range of skilled construction duties including framing, roofing, drywall installation, painting, and minor plumbing or electrical tasks. Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Interpret blueprints, project plans, and drawings. Assist with the layout, measurement, and preparation of construction materials. Install structures such as windows, doors, cabinetry, and flooring. Mix and pour concrete, build and dismantle forms, and finish surfaces. Load and unload materials and tools; ensure proper storage and site cleanliness. Follow safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to complete tasks on schedule.
Qualifications:
Must be able to pass a background and 5 panel drug test 3+ years of hands-on experience in general or specialized construction. Strong knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and materials. Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documents. Familiarity with local building codes and safety standards (OSHA preferred). High school diploma or GED; trade school or apprenticeship training is a plus. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (if required for the role).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs), stand, bend, and kneel for long periods. Comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions. Capable of working at heights and on ladders or scaffolding.
