Based in South Louisiana, DDI offers clearing, access, site preparation, logistics, and storm response services throughout North America. The General Construction Laborer works independently as well as part of a team in various aspects of construction. This full-time position has opportunities for growth and advancement within the company. Responsibilities Demonstrates good work practices through compliance and support for all site safety and health rules and guidelines. Ability to do various construction task such as digging, lifting, carrying materials and flagging equipment around construction site. Load and unload materials and supplies. Assist in demolition. Perform general clean up duties of the jobsite. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors Perform repetitive manual task. Perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor. Required Skills and Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. At lease 2 years of experience in construction. Candidate must possess an OSHA 10 certification or be willing to obtain it. Candidate must possess a PowerSafe safety training certification or be willing to obtain it. Ability to read and understand project plans and instructions. Knowledge of various construction tools and equipment. Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects. Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Successful candidates must complete a drug screening and background check prior to employment.
