Public Works General Laborer City of Ponchatoula 125 W Hickory St, Ponchatoula, LA 70454 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks that support our operations, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Duties Perform general maintenance and manual labor tasks as assigned Operate lawn mowers, weed eaters, tractors and other landscaping equipment Use hand tools safely and efficiently Assist with routine upkeep of property, grounds and facilities. Follow instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements Must have a valid driver’s license Ability to perform physical labor and work in various weather conditions Experience operating landscaping and maintenance equipment (weed eaters, mowers, Tractors, etc.) Familiarity with hand tools and small power tools Strong work ethic and attention of detail Ability to follow directions and complete task efficiently and safely. .
