Construction Laborer Position Available In Worcester, Massachusetts

Construction Laborer Northeast Classic Engineering Bolton, MA 01740 Northeast Classic Engineering is a growing excavation company specializing in residential construction projects. We are looking for reliable and hardworking General Laborers to join our team. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and being part of a team that takes pride in quality workmanship. You will be working on tasks related to site preparation, digging foundations, grading, general support for our excavation crew as well as other tasks as required by the job you will be working on.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing construction sites for excavation work, including clearing debris and setting up safety barriers. Dig trenches, pits, and other necessary excavations using hand tools and, at times, power tools. Provide support for heavy equipment operators by guiding them, signaling, and helping in material handling. Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks as needed. Perform basic site cleanup, including removing rocks, dirt, and debris from work areas. Operate small equipment (e.g., skid steers, compactors) under supervision. Help in the setup and maintenance of erosion control measures. Assist in backfilling excavations and trenches and compact soil as required. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and properly stored at the end of each day. Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment. Perform other manual labor tasks as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). 2-5+ years experience with laying pipe for sewer and storm water. (required) Experience in construction, excavation, or landscaping (preferred ). Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain). Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and perform strenuous tasks for extended periods. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment. Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors and equipment operators. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. Valid driver’s license and your own reliable transportation (required).

Work Environment:

Outdoor work on residential construction sites, including areas with uneven terrain and heavy equipment in operation. Ability to stand long hours and lift 75lbs Full-time hours
