Description:
Our company is looking for an individual with experience in construction (Remodel in particular). The position includes physical labor in both commercial and residential construction using hand and power tools. The position also requires demoing, prepping, repairing and cleaning sites. Currently our company is focusing heavily on rehab work of existing structures both commercial and residential. Our days of operation are Monday-Friday and hours of course vary (Mostly range b/t 7am-6pm). Crews are back home the same day we rarely stay overnight for jobs. Please note as well that if our work load requires it we will work Saturdays if needed. We keep a very full schedule and are looking to bring on 2-3 vetted hires. Tasks (Vary on job):
- Demo/clean job site to prepare for scope of work to be completed.
- Remove existing fixtures by using hand/power tools of all types.
- Constructing/installation of new fixtures based on scope of work.
- Load/unload of building materials and deliver them to correct on site locations.
- Measure/record openings or distances of where construction work will be performed.
- Proper removal and install of new plumbing fixtures (valves, tub, toilets, faucets, etc.)
- Proper removal and install of cabinets in both kitchen and bathrooms.
- Proper removal and install of trim (Baseboard, shoe mold, door casing, Etc).
- Proper removal and install of interior and exterior doors.
- Removal of all debris and cleaning site upon completion of work.
Qualification and Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers license and social security card
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Knowledge of how to use most hand tools and power tools
- Possession of SOME hand tools and power tools
- Prior knowledge of construction material
- Ability to handle physical demand of position
- Superior communication skills with customers and team members
- Willingness to work with others and learn new skills
