Job Overview:

The Installer will perform a variety of physical tasks, including preparation, installation, and maintenance of rubber surfacing. Attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential in this role. The Installer will be responsible for ensuring that all installations meet high-quality standards and satisfy customer expectations. The starting pay for this position is $20 per hour during training, with the hourly rate increasing upon successful completion of training.

Job Responsibilities:

Unload materials from the trailer and distribute them to the appropriate locations as directed by the Foreman or Crew Leader. Prepare tools, materials, and equipment for the jobsite. Clean and prepare surfaces for installation, including tasks such as scarifying, grinding, scraping, priming, setting tiles, and caulking. Mix and distribute both dry rubber and batch mixtures. Trowel rubber while performing quality checks throughout the day. Operate a variety of hand and power tools. Secure the area around the jobsite to ensure safety. Clean the jobsite at the end of each day, ensuring proper disposal of trash and secure storage of materials and equipment. Ensure that the trailer is loaded properly and that all equipment and materials are collected at the end of each project. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Must have a valid state driver’s license. High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience with troweling or similar tasks is preferred. Ability to perform all assigned tasks efficiently and safely. Ability to travel for several days at a time. Installations may take place in Myrtle Beach, Wilmington, Charleston, Hilton Head, etc. Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions clearly. Ability to adapt to changes in assignments as needed. Ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities. Ability to perform basic arithmetic for counting and inventory purposes.

Physical Requirements:

Must have the physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina required to complete tasks in various environments. Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds and push/pull 50-pound loads. Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day and climb multiple sets of stairs while carrying materials weighing between 40 and 60 pounds. Must be available to work some Saturdays when necessary.
