At White Mountain Cable as a Telecom Construction Laborer you’ll gain knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques including the placement of poles and anchors, familiarity with a wide range of tools and equipment, ability to read and understand prints/maps, safety rules, and operating instructions.

Compensation :

$20 – $26 per hour ‎ : Connecting you to great benefits Paid Training Weekly Paychecks Paid Time Off, Parental Leave, and Holidays Insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance) 401(k) w/ Company Match Stock Purchase Plan Education Reimbursement Legal Insurance Discounts on gym memberships, pet insurance, and much more! ‎ : What you’ll do as an Aerial Construction Laborer Perform general labor duties related to telecommunications construction: loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable Safely use hand tools and equipment such as; wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and more Safely operate mechanized equipment such as; bucket trucks, digger derrick, excavators, and more Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers Flagging traffic when required Safely work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders ‎ : What you’ll need To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company Valid driver’s license Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry. Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet Able to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (such as; pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction) Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance Ability to set up & maintain safe work areas Ability to work in all weather conditions Physical abilities & exposures This role routinely requires extended periods of standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Also, working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.
