Painter/Laborer ACP Buffalo Buffalo, NY 14202 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Painter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various construction and remodeling tasks, with a focus on painting and finishing work. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed. Apply paint, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Assist in remodeling projects by restoring and finishing surfaces to enhance aesthetics. Perform construction estimating to determine material needs for projects. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. Engage in frame carpentry, including building structures and installing fixtures. Collaborate with team members on construction site activities to ensure timely project completion. Conduct concrete finishing work as required for specific projects. Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of the project. Requirements Proven experience in painting and labor-intensive roles within the construction industry. Familiarity with restoration techniques and remodeling processes is preferred. Ability to read blueprints and understand construction drawings is a plus. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to painting and construction tasks. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy materials when necessary.
