Construction Worker/Helper Veteran Edition Handyman Services Rochester, NY 14626 Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support various construction projects by assisting skilled tradespeople and ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the construction industry and a willingness to learn new skills while contributing to the success of our projects. Duties Assist in the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including organizing tools and materials. Support skilled tradespeople in tasks such as tile laying, frame carpentry, and trim work. Operate power tools safely and effectively under supervision. Participate in construction inspections to ensure quality standards are met. Read and interpret schematics to assist with project execution. Help with hardscape installations and other outdoor construction activities. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety on the job site. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks. Qualifications Previous experience or training in construction is preferred but not required. Familiarity with power tools and construction equipment is advantageous. Knowledge of construction terms and abilities are a plus. Ability to read blueprints or schematics is beneficial for understanding project requirements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
