Position Summary:
Patton Borough is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to fill the position of Municipal Laborer. This role involves performing a variety of manual tasks in the maintenance and repair of public grounds, streets, buildings, and other municipal infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform general labor such as landscaping, street and sidewalk repair, sanitation, and building maintenance. Repairs and maintenance of water, wastewater, storm, flood control and other such infrastructure. Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and vehicles used in public works projects. Assist with snow removal, storm cleanup, and other seasonal tasks. Follow safety procedures and report any hazards or equipment malfunctions. Work collaboratively with other crew members and supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain one. Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or maintenance is a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions.
Attendance and Punctuality Requirements:
Must be dependable and consistently report to work on time. Availability for emergency call-ins, overtime, or weekend work may be required.
