Construction Laborer Job Description We are seeking diligent and hardworking construction laborers to join our team for new construction roofing projects. As a construction laborer, you will be responsible for performing various general labor duties that contribute to the successful completion of roofing projects. Responsibilities Remove debris and use shovels for material handling. Cut up materials and load them onto carts for disposal. Haul away trash and dump it in designated areas. Assist with laying insulation and attaching materials. Clean up materials and tools to maintain an organized work area. Essential Skills Experience working on a construction job site. Comfortable using basic hand tools such as shovels. Ability to perform manual labor, including using power tools and handling concrete. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in labor-intensive jobs such as concrete work. Experience with roofing is a significant advantage. Ability to perform strenuous manual labor for 8+ hours a day. Why Work Here? Our long-term contract offers stability and growth opportunities. Work Environment You will work on new construction job sites, specifically on the roofs of buildings with low-slope roofing. Safety guards are in place six feet from the edge to ensure safety. Be prepared to work in the elements, as you will be exposed to varying weather conditions. Shifts are 10 hours long, with start times potentially varying between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM, depending on daylight. Workweek schedules are either Monday to Thursday or Thursday to Sunday. The project includes a renovation at General Mills, with the possibility of continuation on future projects. Proper PPE, including steel toe boots, will be provided, except for the boots themselves. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $20.00/hr.
