General Skilled Laborer 2.3 2.3 out of 5 stars Lebanon, TN 37087 The General Skilled Laborer contributes to the overall success of the company by performing duties in a safe and professional manner related to their assigned division(s) – base/stone, asphalt paving, asphalt milling, concrete, striping, sealcoating, signage, and/or drainage.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform duties in accordance with DOT, local and commercial specifications. Provide labor support for specialty crew and willing to cross train.
Operate heavy machinery which includes:
company vehicles, skid steers, paver, roller, milling machine, grader, and etc. (All depending on the assigned crew.) Conduct work with proper safety equipment. Lift heavy loads up to 70 lbs. and navigate job site terrain. Perform setup and cleanup tasks at the job site. Dig pits, trenches, and foundations in preparation for site construction when necessary. Back-fill trenches and pits when necessary. Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients and work to establish a positive rapport with every contact. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills Needed:
Construction experience is required. Experience in paving, milling, and/or sealcoating and striping is a highly preferred. Ability to shovel/lute and work the ground. Dedicated, honest, and hard-working; team player. Positive, upbeat demeanor. Strong work ethic.
