Jones Contracting, Inc, is hiring a Concrete Superintendent for our office. To be successful in this position you need a minimum of 3 years of commercial construction experience. The Concrete Superintendent is responsible for managing and directing the flow of work; follows safety and quality standards; coordinates with project managers and maintains daily field documents of all activities on site. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, with hands-on experience. Responsibilities:
Communicate and develop good working relationships with management, staff, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Manage and interpret all construction documents. Coordination and scheduling of job site employees, equipment, and materials to complete the job. Create project-specific planning and execution methods. Responsible for job site safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Schedule and coordinate material deliveries. Perform quality control duties regarding the work being performed. Travel to and between multiple job sites.
Requirements:
Make decisions under tight deadlines. Skilled at negotiating and developing relationships with owners and subcontractors. Demonstrate leadership abilities along with an open and willing attitude and eagerness to learn. Demonstrate ability to lead and motivate, direct, and address conflict with a team. Outstanding communication skills verbal and written. Excellent technical skills. Proficient in reading, understanding, and applying blueprints and job specifications utilizing various software. Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Highly Motivated and Passionate about concrete construction. Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and its employees. Metal Building Erection and Concrete experience and/or training.
