Jones Contracting, Inc, is hiring a Metal Building Superintendent. To be successful in this position you need a minimum of 3 years of metal building commercial construction. The Metal Building Superintendent is responsible for managing and directing the flow of work; follows safety and quality standards; coordinates with project managers and maintains daily field documents of all activities on site. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, with hands-on experience. Responsibilities:
Communicate and develop good working relationships with management, staff, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Manage and interpret all construction documents. Coordination and scheduling of job site employees, equipment, and materials to complete the job. Oversee and assign tasks to employees. Create project-specific planning and execution methods. Responsible for job site safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Schedule and coordinate material deliveries. Perform quality control duties regarding the work being performed. Travel to and between multiple job sites.
Requirements:
Make decisions under tight deadlines. Skilled at negotiating and developing relationships with owners and subcontractors. Demonstrate leadership abilities along with an open and willing attitude and eagerness to learn. Demonstrate ability to lead and motivate, direct, and address conflict with a team. Outstanding communication skills verbal and written. Excellent technical skills. Proficient in reading, understanding, and applying blueprints and job specifications utilizing various software. Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and supervising skills. Metal Building Erection and Concrete experience and/or training.
