Construction Superintendent Momentum Construction Group Mobile, AL 36606 Summary The Reconstruction Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day management of projects. They are responsible for delivering a high quality of service in all dealings with customers, clients, subcontractors, resource providers, and company employees involved in reconstruction services. Primary Roles and Responsibilities Construction Management #1 Schedule In House crews, subcontractors and material suppliers. Organize and lead morning start-up directing crews for present day assignments and goals Review work performed on regular basis, communicate progress with Clients and Management team. Ensure all work performed complies with the plans, specifications, local codes, and requirements of the scope of work through regular on-site visits for both house crews and subcontractors. Provide weekly progress report to Reconstruction Project Manager. Customer Communication Conduct pre-construction meeting with customer. (with PM) Provide project update (daily narrative) to customers and clients. Subcontractor/Resource Provider Management Set expectations on a project-by-project basis. Maintain quality standards through site inspections. Provide evaluation and rating of all vendors and subcontractors. Cost Control and Schedule Adherence Ensure material suppliers deliver what was purchased, materials are allocated to correct crews and sub-contractors Ensure subcontractors complete all work in accordance with their scope of work. Track actual hours against budgeted hours, approve time submitted by in-house crews Customer Satisfaction Compile and resolve punch list items. Necessary Experience and Skill Set Superb customer service track record Functional skills with Microsoft office Effective written and oral communication Basic math skills Experience in restoration and/or construction Formal Education/Training High school diploma/GED Physical and Work Environment Requirements Walking and/or standing throughout the day. Frequent driving and sitting. Occasionally climbing ladders. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme conditions such as heat. The noise level in the work environment and jobsites can be loud. Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours, and Travel Requirements This is a full-time position, working 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. This position can require long hours (beyond 8 hours a day) and weekend work. Travel is required and is primarily local. However, some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
