Salary:
$60,000 – $75,000 per year (Depending on Experience) Are you an experienced roofing professional with a passion for leadership and ensuring safety and quality standards on the job site? We’re seeking a Roofing Superintendent to join our team and take charge of managing subcontractor crews, overseeing projects, and making sure every job is completed with the highest level of excellence. As a Roofing Superintendent, you’ll play a key role in supervising and supporting a talented crew while providing guidance, ensuring productivity, and fostering a safe work environment. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with homeowners and internal teams to bring projects to completion on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Crew Management:
Oversee subcontractor crews to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and morale on each assigned project.
Collaboration:
Work alongside the internal production team to determine project needs and ensure project specifications are met.
On-Site Leadership:
Act as the main point of contact for homeowners while working directly at the job site with crews to drive progress.
Quality Control:
Monitor job progress and hold crews accountable to meet established safety, quality, and productivity goals.
Project Planning:
Conduct property assessments, develop construction processes and schedules, and estimate costs to keep projects on track and within budget.
Inspection and Permitting:
Schedule inspections, ensure proper permits are obtained, and coordinate the inspection process.
Inventory Management:
Order the necessary materials and equipment while tracking inventory to ensure timely project completion.
CRM Tracking:
Keep accurate records of all project activities within the company’s CRM system.
Job Site Maintenance:
Ensure job sites remain safe, clean, and organized, adhering to best practices in safety and site management.
Problem-Solving:
Resolve on-site issues or emergencies, investigating incidents and reporting findings to management promptly.
Job Requirements:
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the building construction trades, including supervisory experience.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licensing & Travel:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel as needed.
Skills:
Proficient in using tools and equipment for roof repair, replacement, new installation, and maintenance.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of building construction principles, materials, tools, OSHA standards, building codes, and laws.
Physical Requirements:
Must be physically fit to handle all aspects of the roofing process, including climbing ladders and moving heavy equipment.
Technology Skills:
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), tablets, and iPads (iPadOS).
Certifications:
Certified Roof Inspector is preferred.
