Site Manager Position Summary The Site Manager is a full-time onsite position that is responsible for the onsite coordination of the project scope of work under the direction of the Project Manager. This will include the coordination between the client site team, erection team, engineering team, logistics, etc. Also responsible for site project reporting on safety, schedule, progress, etc. Site Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities Promote a culture of safety and ensure all team members and contractors adhere to the requirements of the safety program. Monitor and manage on site activities to ensure a safe, high quality, on time, and on budget project execution. Main point of contact for all site meetings, site scheduling, coordination, deliveries, and erector management. Understand the project specific scope of work and be able to communicate on that scope of work with the erector, client, or other trades when required. Work under the direction of the project manager and report any issues, concerns, milestones or incidents to that project manager. Maintain a delivery log and manage deliveries to site with the logistics department. Prepare routine reports and track the progress of the project. Document, track, and research all fabrication errors, detailing errors or erection issues and coordinate the required correction with the parties involved. Track and understand design changes and revised drawings to help coordinate with the site team, in conjunction with the Engineering Team. This includes tracking any field work required to the correct change order number. The ability to work overtime, including weekends if required, and regular, punctual attendance is required. Site Manager Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of experience in Industrial Construction Management (Metals, Oil & Gas, or other Manufacturing) Must have proficient oral/written communication skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, have the ability to learn new software used by specific clients. Site Manager Physical Demands Some overtime required to meet deadlines. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds occasionally. Requires long periods of sitting. This position is full-time onsite, which may require temporary travel for extended periods of time.
