Construction Superintendent Job Description We specialize in Construction Management, General Contracting, and Design/Build Services, focusing on diverse market segments such as K-12 and Higher Education, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing/Industrial, Corporate Offices, Churches, and Specialty projects including new construction, renovations, and historic restoration. This is a full-time, on-site position as a Project Superintendent, located throughout New Haven, Fairfield, and Litchfield. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day construction activities. Coordinate effectively with subcontractors. Ensure quality control standards are met. Manage construction safety protocols. Adhere to project budgets and timelines. Essential Skills Supervisory skills and commercial construction experience. Knowledge in quality control and construction safety. Expertise in budgeting. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure. Experience with construction management software. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field. Additional Skills & Qualifications OSHA certification is a plus. Experience in public projects, specifically K-12 and Municipal. 5+ years of on-site experience, which can be split between project engineering and supervision. Experience managing subcontractors. Experience with projects of 5 million USD and above. Degree in Construction Management. Work Environment The role requires a full-time commitment on-site across New Haven, Fairfield, and Litchfield areas. The work involves managing diverse construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality control, and effective time management. The environment is dynamic, requiring professional attire and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
