This role ensures that all commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning services are performed safely, professionally, and in compliance with NFPA 96 standards.
Daily Responsibilities 1. Pre-Job Preparation Review and confirm daily job schedules and assignments Ensure crews have proper access, documentation, and site instructions Verify that vehicles are stocked with necessary tools, equipment, and PPE Perform pre-shift safety and equipment checks 2. Crew Management Supervise, support, and coordinate multiple job crews Provide on-site leadership, guidance, and performance feedback Step in to assist on complex, high-profile, or labor-intensive jobs Train and mentor new employees and assistant technicians 3. Quality Assurance Conduct spot-checks and site inspections during and after jobs Review before/after photos, service reports, and deficiency notations Ensure adherence to Superior-Clean procedures and NFPA 96 code Report workmanship issues and implement corrective actions 4. Customer Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site customer needs Address concerns, schedule changes, or access issues professionally Perform final walk-throughs with clients as needed Ensure all service documentation is signed and properly submitted 5. Emergency Service & Repair Oversight Respond to emergency fan shutdowns and repair calls Dispatch appropriate technician teams or address issues personally Document all emergency work and communicate follow-ups to the office 6. Reporting & Administration Submit daily job completion reports and crew activity logs Track employee work hours and material usage Maintain notes on deficiencies, follow-ups, and customer feedback Report vehicle or equipment issues promptly 7. Safety Enforcement Conduct safety audits at active job sites Enforce use of fall protection, PPE, ladder safety, and confined space protocol • Document incidents and assist in the investigation of any accidents Promote a culture of safety and accountability8. Inventory & Equipment Monitor supply levels in vehicles and field kits Ensure proper use and maintenance of company tools and assets Coordinate with office staff for reorders and replacementsRequirements In-depth knowledge of commercial hood cleaning and NFPA 96 compliance • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills Valid driver’s license with clean driving record Ability to work evenings, overnights, and on-call as needed
