You’ll be responsible for developing business strategy, managing field operations, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Strategic Growth & Department Development Develop and execute a long-term vision for the Service Division. Expand recurring service contracts and revenue streams. Collaborate with leadership and marketing to grow our customer base. Analyze workflow and implement operational improvements. Stay ahead of industry trends to maintain competitiveness. Operations & Service Scheduling Schedule and dispatch technicians for efficiency and responsiveness. Optimize routes to reduce downtime and travel time. Maintain visibility into service backlog and adjust resources as needed. Customer Development & Relationship Management Serve as the face of the service division to key clients. Nurture relationships with property owners, facility managers, and contractors. Handle customer feedback and drive continuous improvement. Present proposals for upgrades, safety compliance, and energy efficiency. Field Oversight & Technician Support Audit job sites for safety and workmanship. Provide field support and technical leadership when needed. Mentor technicians and recommend skill development opportunities. Estimating & Quoting for Profitability Generate or approve quotes with strategic pricing. Monitor closing ratios and improve quoting strategy. Bridge small service work into larger project opportunities. Resource & Inventory Management Oversee material procurement and vehicle readiness. Streamline inventory and vendor engagement for service jobs. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Track metrics like job closeout rates and revenue per tech. Deliver weekly reports to company leadership. Document team performance and customer satisfaction. Compliance & Safety Leadership Enforce OSHA and company-specific safety policies. Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings for the service team. Maintain accurate records for licenses and inspections.
Qualifications Required:
Proven experience in a service leadership role within electrical or similar skilled trades. Strong background in technician scheduling, project quoting, and team management. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Proficiency with office software, dispatch systems, and job management tools. Strong attention to safety and compliance practices.
Preferred:
Experience scaling service departments. Familiarity with CRM/job management systems (e.g., ServiceTitan, simPRO). Estimating and proposal development experience. Knowledge of OSHA standards and electrical code compliance.
