Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support and promote the mission, values and principles of Powernet and its subsidiaries Provide leadership and supervision to the cabling team at job sites Provide clients with an understanding of functions, usage and operations of the company products Ability to read, interpret and understand architectural drawings and specifications and provide detailed take offs and estimates Provide pricing for change orders Hire subcontractors and temps as needed to complete portions of work when we don’t have adequate resources. Work with Service Management and vendor partners for customers required job supplies Troubleshoot, research, and resolve all job-site issues. Communicate regularly with Management and provide updates on jobs and projects Represent the company in appearance and actions Follow documented company policies and procedures and ensure that the cabling employees do the same Work with customers to ensure cabling projects are completed timely and within budget. Ensure that cabling technicians’ time, materials, and equipment are entered in Connectwise in a timely manner for every job Provide cabling technicians with training opportunities for growth Work with internal departments to assist with job completion in systems Manage multiple activities and tasks simultaneously Promote safe work practices and anticipate potential safety issues Schedule cabling technicians for projects and forecast manpower needs for upcoming projects Track company vehicles and keep up with vehicle maintenance Perform warehouse inventory control Track company inventory and assets Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ANSI/TIA, BICSI) and company safety protocols.
Requirements:
Education, Experience and Skill Requirements Bachelor’s degree, Associates Degree, or equivalent experience preferred. 5+ years Cabling Project Management Proven leadership skills Excellent communication skills Systems knowledge: Connectwise and Microsoft Suite Extensive knowledge of telecommunications products Great work attitude, eager to help cabling team members and customers Experience with project planning and management 5+ years on the job cabling experience Must possess a valid driver license Additional Requirement Personal auto insurance with a minimum coverage of $50,000 Injury and $100,000 Liability Occasional travel required.
