Responsibilities and Duties:

Responsible for the day-to-day construction activities for build to rent, scattered lot homes.
Establish and monitor all quality standards
Create, update and analyze the schedule for restraints, deadlines and milestones
Target layout and long-lead material items, inspections, and meetings
Maintain all safety standards and safety inspections
Conduct Tailgate meetings on project sites when and as often as necessary
Direct efficient use of materials and field staff
Schedule and coordinate all subcontractors and monitor their performance
Make decisions that are within budget and schedule
Control job costs, construction damage and vandalism
Control field operations
Ensure that structure is built in accordance with plans and specifications
Develop a regular team/crew and help team to advance
Understand plans and specifications completely, and maintain Daily Job Reports by logging the information in the company approved systems
Plan for staffing, equipment and supply needs and requirements
Submit all paperwork to the office in a timely fashion and write memos as required and as often as necessary to document job including the following forms for documentation, RFI’s, action requests, and transmittals properly filled out and dated
Direct/manage inspectors, carpenters, subcontractors, and suppliers
Maintain quality control by inspection verifying adherence to drawings and specifications
Act as primary contact for all jobsite questions
Job Requirements/Qualifications
High school or GED level education required
A minimum of 3 years of related construction superintendent or construction supervisory experience
Experience working on scattered lots
Must be comfortable conducting daily job tasks via internet based and company software’s
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Organization and time management skills since you will need to examine and inspect the work progress, equipment and construction sites
Safety minded
- you must be able to safely operate company vehicles and equipment when necessary
Excellent customer service and people skills since you will spend a lot of the time talking with your employees, customers, and managers
Bilingual, English/Spanish is a plus
Experience with build to rent model a plus
