Our construction company is seeking an experienced constructionprofessional with excellent leadership skills. If you’re good atmanaging general contractors, hiring subcontractors, andmaintaining safety and compliance at a construction site, then youmight be perfect as our next construction superintendent. Our idealcandidate has 5 years of construction field experience and cansupervise all site activities and maintain safety compliance at alltimes.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a daily record of project progress and home repairupdates for the project manager and the homeowner
- Ensure that each construction project produces a high-qualityfinished product, manage construction workers, conduct routineon-site inspections, and provide guidance as needed
- Consult with the project’s stakeholders to ensure that theproject remains within budget
- Minimize injuries and delays on building projects by requiringcomplete attention to health and safety standards, and report anyissues to the project manager when they occur
- Begin preparing a formal plan for homeowners that has a costestimate for the job
Qualifications:
- Strong communication, organizational, leadership, andtime-management skills
- Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office
- Must have general contractor license
- At least 5 years of previous experience as a general contractorrequired, preferably with some additional managerial experience
- Possesses a deep understanding of the construction industry andthe entire building process, including building codes, permits,construction equipment, material resources, project managementprinciples, and construction methods
