We are a multidisciplinary company that specializes in Water and Sewer infrastructure. Including sanitary pump stations, storm sewers, roadwork, street lighting and signalization, streetscape, and an array of trenchless technologies.
Essential Job Functions:
Work in concert with a field Superintendent to manage all aspects of multi-million dollar municipal underground utility infrastructure construction projects in South Florida Be responsible for the accomplishment of contract/project goals, objectives, and overall performance from project startup phase through closeout Manage project startup phase, including meetings with the client, budgeting, work schedule preparation, contract review, equipment and resources planning, value engineering proposals, defining the Jobsite organization for the execution of the project, and negotiating and preparing competitive purchase and service agreements with suppliers and subcontractors Support field Superintendent during the construction phase of the project by ensuring work is performed according to contracted agreements, budget, and schedule, as well as managing the relationship with the client, managing the performance of suppliers and subcontractors, and managing ongoing planning, costs, and general project performance, as well as recommending corrective actions as required Attend periodic meetings at Pompano Beach headquarters with general management and ownership to present project progress reports as well as the timely notification of budgetary changes Review and prepare the supporting documentation for pay applications, change orders, claims, and supplemental agreements Implement Company policies and procedures and ensuring all work performed compliances with quality, safety, and environmental regulations Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required to
Perform Essential Functions:
Have a minimum of 3 years experience managing municipal underground utility or road infrastructure construction projects
Technical Knowledge:
Ability to perform a variety of duties which may often change; and work within standards of accuracy.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or walk for long periods; use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing up to 60 pounds. Climb up and down a ladder, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipment. Stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices, and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites. May be required to sit behind a desk and computer screen for long periods of time in an office setting.
Environmental Adaptability:
Work inside and outside in all weather conditions, and various locations as needed. Hard hat, hearing, and eye protection required. Sitting at a desk, staring at a computer screen. The majority of time will be spent in an office setting with some fieldwork as needed.
