Construction Project Manager Oak Construction Company Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312 Job Summary Oak Construction Company Inc. is a General Contracting firm based in Fort Lauderdale, FL., offering a full range of construction services seeking an experienced construction project manager with commercial retail experience. As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and directing the construction for different large commercial clients. The successful candidate must possess the knowledge and experience that will permit them to manage the entire construction process, including but not limited to pre-development planning, scheduling, logistics, cost management, financial reporting, and construction operations. Additionally, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, vendors and in-house teams.
Education, Skills & Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management role. Success in all phases of major new construction, renovation, and interior fit-out projects Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, combined with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Proficiency in project management software Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets. Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project including change order logs, RFI logs, and submittal lots. Manage the scope review, bid and award process. Negotiate all change orders. Manage the permit process as required. Manage and update the project budget. Hold regular status meetings with project team. Lead communications with on-site staff including the Superintendent and Subcontractors Proactively identify design deficiencies, schedule concerns, and other project specific issues Advanced organizational skills and ability to deliver quality through attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple projects and still be proactive and resourceful Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally to obtain information or solve problems in support of company goals Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment and to adapt to changes in the needs of the company to ensure competitive advantage
