Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Hiring Manager who specializes in recruiting laborers to join our HR team. This person will play a key role in sourcing, screening, and onboarding candidates for various labor positions, ensuring we meet project demands and workforce planning goals. The ideal candidate understands the labor market, has strong connections within the industry, and knows how to build pipelines of dependable workers.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with department leads to understand current and future labor needs Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract skilled and unskilled laborers Post jobs, manage applications, and screen candidates for qualifications and fit Conduct interviews, reference checks, and pre-employment screenings Build relationships with local trade schools, job centers, and labor unions Maintain a talent pool for quick fulfillment of labor needs Manage the hiring process from offer through onboarding Track recruitment metrics and report on hiring progress and workforce trends Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies Support retention efforts by providing feedback to HR on worker satisfaction and turnover
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in recruitment, preferably in labor-intensive industries Strong understanding of the labor market and workforce trends Experience sourcing laborers via job boards, staffing agencies, and community partnerships Excellent communication and organizational skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Proficiency in ATS systems and recruitment tools Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment
