Commercial Roofing Construction Manager A nationally acclaimed leader in the commercial roofing industry is currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to take charge of field operations on large-scale roofing projects. Position Summary This position is suited for an experienced construction professional who excels in fast-moving environments, is driven by high standards, and possesses the communication and technical skills to lead field teams effectively from job start to closeout. Primary ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Execution Direct all on-site operations for commercial roofing installations, upgrades, and repairs. Oversee labor planning, logistics, and equipment coordination to meet project deadlines. Ensure work aligns with specifications, client expectations, and company standards. Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and inspectors to maintain project compliance and continuity. Team Leadership & Supervision Manage and mentor field crews, subcontractors, and new hires throughout the construction cycle. Conduct jobsite meetings to communicate goals, safety protocols, and task assignments. Train staff on safe practices, tool usage, and jobsite efficiency. Safety Enforcement Implement strict adherence to OSHA guidelines and internal safety procedures. Lead daily safety briefings and ensure correct use of personal protective equipment. Respond to safety incidents, conduct evaluations, and follow up with actionable solutions. Quality Control Perform site inspections to confirm compliance with manufacturer guidelines and installation standards. Maintain detailed documentation for system warranties, inspections, and material usage. Resolve technical issues in coordination with design and internal support teams. Stakeholder Coordination Serve as the primary point of contact for site-related inquiries from clients and external partners. Deliver status updates to company leadership and address client concerns promptly. Facilitate on-site conflict resolution and communication between teams. Material & Equipment Oversight Monitor material availability and coordinate with supply chain for timely deliveries. Ensure tools and machinery are safe, operational, and accessible at all times. Documentation & Reporting Maintain thorough daily reports covering crew activity, weather conditions, and work progress. Submit weekly summaries identifying potential delays, changes, or risks. Ensure all required paperwork—permits, inspections, change orders—is completed accurately. Problem-Solving & Adaptation Identify and resolve challenges that could delay work or affect quality. Collaborate with upper management on changes to the project scope or resource needs. Candidate Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required; technical education or industry certifications preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial roofing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Technical Expertise Proficient in systems including TPO, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, and Built-Up Roofing (BUR). Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical construction documents. Comfortable using construction software and job tracking tools. Leadership & Interpersonal Skills Proven success in leading teams and coordinating subcontractors. Excellent time management and multitasking across multiple job sites. Professional, clear communicator with conflict resolution experience. Ability to adjust to changing job conditions with poise and foresight. Certifications (Required/Preferred)
