The Healthcare Construction Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing facility construction and renovation projects from design through completion. This includes managing contractors, tracking project timelines and budgets, coordinating with internal departments, and handling procurement of furniture and equipment. The role ensures projects meet healthcare standards, licensing requirements, and organizational goals, while also enhancing the functionality and aesthetics of the built environment.

Compensation:

$97,000 – $125,000 base salary; plus full benefits package including 23 days annual

PTO Employment Length:

12-24 month period, dependent on building construction progress. This project is primarily overseeing the new Community Hospice Pediatric Building construction.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage assigned construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects across healthcare sites. Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and vendors to ensure design intent, budget alignment, and code compliance. Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints to ensure execution matches design plans. Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and budgets; escalate delays or issues proactively. Lead procurement and installation of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), including selection of furniture styles, fabrics, and artwork to support functional and aesthetic goals. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to incorporate interior design principles that enhance patient and staff environments. Conduct regular site visits, track progress, and ensure adherence to specifications. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, permits, RFIs, and closeout materials. Support project closeout processes, punch lists, occupancy coordination, and regulatory inspections. Assist with space planning and departmental relocations as needed. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations when necessary. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience may substitute for formal education. 3-5 years of experience managing commercial or healthcare-related construction projects. Experience with healthcare codes, AHCA, and regulatory agencies (preferred).

Desired Knowledge and Skills:

Strong understanding of construction documents, interior design coordination, scheduling, and project budgets. Ability to interpret and apply design intent, particularly in healthcare environments. Familiarity with healthcare compliance and safety standards. Furniture, artwork, and fabric selection to align with design vision and project goals. Coordinating across cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities. Delivering excellent customer service and stakeholder communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project tracking tools.

Term of Employment:
