Our client, a respected and fully employee-owned construction firm, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee ground-up commercial construction projects ranging from $10M to $50M. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, a focus on safety and quality, and a proactive approach to project management, communication, and collaboration with both field and office teams.
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for managing all aspects of commercial construction projects from initiation through completion. The Project Manager will collaborate with owners, subcontractors, field staff, and internal operations to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver and manage commercial construction projects ranging from $15M to $50M+ Coordinate with Assistant Project Manager on contracts, purchase orders, testing/inspections, submittals, and schedules Collaborate with Estimators on scope, budgets, and risk identification Manage and track contract execution and submittals on the critical path Lead weekly on-site meetings and monthly progress updates Monitor and report on budget performance and project schedules Ensure completion of all testing and inspections per specifications Develop meeting agendas and minutes Partner with the AP/AR team to manage billing processes, approvals, and payments Manage project close-out including final punch list, documentation, substantial completion, and certificate of occupancy
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred) Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ground-up commercial construction project management Proficiency with project management tools such as ProCore, Timberline, SmartSheets, and BlueBeam Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently Commitment to safety-first practices on every project
