Job description This position will report to the Operations Manager/Florida Regional Director and support our Tampa customers with estimating and commercial and residential project management. The Project Manager has crucial responsibilities, including writing estimates, overseeing the daily operations, managing all workers and subcontractors, and ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets quality standards. The Project Managers supervise the project from start to finish and maintain comprehensive documentation in line with URI’s standards.
Essential Job Duties:
Drive to the project site to meet with the property owner, obtain work authorization, gather the necessary documentation, and review the scope of work written in Xactimate. Evaluate properties affected by water, fire, and wind damage and develop a comprehensive plan for property restoration. Oversee each mitigation or reconstruction site from start to finish, adhering to company protocols. This includes conducting regular quality control inspections on job sites and accurately documenting job progress. Keep property owners/clients informed about mitigation, reconstruction, and job scheduling while managing their expectations. Maintain an updated job schedule to ensure timely project completion. Develop a budget and expedite the procurement of materials, supplies, labor, and equipment scheduling. Manage project costs within the company’s profit margin standards and assist with proactive collections. Maintain a subcontractor base and assist with the onboarding of new subcontractors. Ensure compliance with the company’s health and safety policies and procedures. Willingness to travel at short notice. Understand the 24/7 demands of the restoration industry and am willing to work outside regular business hours for on-call responsibilities or site inspections. Other duties as assigned by management.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma and a minimum of three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of restoration, mitigation, and construction practices and procedures. Computer skills and knowledge of Xactimate and Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Experience using PSA and XactAnalysis is a plus. IICRC and OSHA certifications are desired but not required for the position.
Language Skills:
Read and understand complex instructions, such as construction blueprints and engineering reports. Write complex correspondence and effectively present information to customers, clients, and team members in small-group situations.
