Position Summary:
The Superintendent will be responsible for the on-site management of healthcare TI construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a proactive leader with deep experience in occupied healthcare environments, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily field operations on healthcare TI projects ranging from $500K to $10M. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel. Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations. Maintain project schedules and proactively address delays or issues. Conduct regular site meetings and communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and design teams. Manage inspections, quality control, and punch list completion. Ensure infection control and interim life safety measures (ICRA/ILSM) are implemented and maintained.
Qualifications:
8-10 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, with a strong focus on healthcare TI projects. Proven experience working in active/occupied healthcare facilities. Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, and safety protocols. OSHA 30 certification required; ICRA certification preferred. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
