Position Summary:
The Superintendent will oversee all field operations for ground-up healthcare construction projects, ensuring strict adherence to AHCA standards and project specifications. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep knowledge of healthcare construction, regulatory compliance, and the ability to manage complex, high-stakes environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead on-site construction activities for ground-up healthcare projects from pre-construction through closeout. Ensure full compliance with AHCA regulations, inspections, and documentation requirements. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to maintain schedule and quality. Implement and enforce safety protocols and infection control measures (ICRA/ILSM). Maintain accurate project documentation, daily logs, and progress reports. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and healthcare facility representatives. Manage site logistics, inspections, and punch list completion.
Qualifications:
8-10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, with a strong emphasis on ground-up healthcare projects. Proven experience managing AHCA-regulated construction projects in Florida. Deep understanding of healthcare construction codes, standards, and best practices. OSHA 30 certification required; ICRA certification preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
