Floyd Construction is a growing General Contractor and Construction Management Firm specializing in high end community clubhouses, amenities, and commercial construction throughout the greater Tampa Bay, Ocala, Orlando and Sarasota/Bradenton areas since 1984. We are currently looking to fill the position of Project Superintendent . We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to grow with us and become a leader in their field. As a project superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing projects, overseeing subcontractors and vendors, material procurement, working with inspectors and municipalities, problem-solving and customer management. If you are detail oriented, like to solve the occasional puzzle, and love to put out a quality product, we have a great opportunity for you. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee multiple construction projects daily Schedule, manage and oversee subcontractors and suppliers Work with customers and design professionals Work with building officials and municipalities Identify potential problems with plans and specifications and find a resolution Procure materials for jobs from various suppliers Resolve specification, selection and plan conflicts and design professionals Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all potential and existing customers Perform all other duties assigned Role Competencies Strategic Orientation

Assess needs and anticipate problems, and prioritize to meet deadlines Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in related field or Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction Proficient with Microsoft Platform (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) Familiarity with square foot and square yard dimensions Knowledge of Geometry/Math Data entry experience Experience reading construction blueprints Budget Management experience Bidding and plan take-off experience General Knowledge of residential and commercial construction Strong customer service skills Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines Cooperative attitude

This is a working superintendent role and traveling around Ocala/Tampa Bay/Sarasota area is required.
