Role:
We’re hiring an experienced Superintendent to lead and manage rail and heavy civil construction projects across Mulberry and Tampa, Florida . This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can manage crews, coordinate with subcontractors, enforce jobsite safety, and deliver projects on time and on budget. You must be available for full-time work , including overtime, night shifts, weekends, and emergency response .
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day field operations and crew performance. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to execute project goals. Maintain daily field reports, manage punch lists, and assist in project closeout. Track material usage, order equipment, and ensure regular maintenance. Supervise inspections and secure necessary permits. Lead by example and mentor team members on best practices. Handle on-site issues and emergencies quickly and effectively.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required Associate’s Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
Experience:
Minimum 3 years in a construction supervisory role 5+ years in railroad or heavy civil construction Experience with heavy machinery preferred
Skills:
Knowledge of DOT, FRA, and FMCSA regulations Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office and reporting software Committed to safety, quality, and team leadership Why This Opportunity?
