HOME OVERNIGHT MANAGER

Position Title Group Home Overnight Manager Position Summary Golden Gateways is seeking a reliable, professional, and proactive Group Home Overnight Manager to oversee overnight operations across multiple Intensive Behavior Residential Group Homes. This role is responsible for ensuring staff accountability, emergency response, cleanliness, proper documentation, and the safe, structured operation of our homes during overnight hours. The Overnight Manager will serve as a mobile supervisor, providing hands-on support and guidance, and reinforcing policies that uphold quality care and APD compliance. Core Responsibilities Travel between group homes during overnight shifts to provide supervision and support. Conduct walk-throughs to confirm completion of deep cleaning and chore duties; retrain staff as needed and obtain signature documentation. Ensure all overnight staff remain alert and on-task throughout their shift. Administer medications and complete nightly medication counts; report shortages to Operations Manager. Provide on-site assistance in emergency situations, including behavioral or medical incidents. Provide Professional Crisis Management leadership and implementation of knowledge during crisis intervention. Fill in for staff call-offs or secure appropriate coverage when necessary. Notify House Managers of call-offs for upcoming shifts; support coverage planning. Train new overnight staff on protocols and provide coaching and feedback. Review and verify overnight documentation in Therap (body checks, toileting logs, T-Logs, ISP data, medication records, etc.). Submit all required shift reports and documentation accurately by the end of shift. Support and enforce Golden Gateways’ safety standards and emergency protocols. Work evenings, weekends, holidays, and remain on-site during severe weather until coverage is secured. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 1-2 years experience in a residential care setting or with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. An Associates degree in social work is a plus. Valid Florida Driver’s License and reliable transportation required. Must be certified in CPR and First Aid (or able to obtain upon hire). Must be certified to administer medications within 90 days of employment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to complete Professional Crisis Management (PCM) training and apply its principles effectively in the workplace. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs independently and assist in lifting up to 175 lbs with help. Schedule & Compensation Full-time overnight position. Rotating schedule including weekends and holidays. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 100% completion rate of overnight documentation audits. Staff compliance with cleaning and medication protocols. Response time to emergencies and incident resolution. Training completion rate for new hires. Call-off coverage resolution and communication accuracy. Reduction in overnight incidents and errors over time. Tools, Systems, & Compliance Daily use of Therap for documentation (body checks, T-Logs, ISP data, SComm, etc.). Use of EMAR systems and Client Tracker for medication and client tracking. Adherence to APD, Medicaid, Rule 65G, and Golden Gateways protocols. Level 2 Background Screening required. Mandatory reporting laws followed in full. Growth & Development Opportunity to advance into House Manager or Operations roles. Ongoing access to professional development and clinical training.
