The Douglas Brooke Legacy family of companies is seeking an experienced and driven Area Construction Manager to oversee residential home construction operations across multiple counties. This leadership role is responsible for managing a team of Construction Managers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality homes while upholding safety, budget, and scheduling standards. Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to a team of Construction Managers across assigned communities. Ensure homes are built to quality standards, on schedule, and within budget. Monitor and manage job site safety, compliance, and efficiency. Review construction schedules and adjust manpower or resources as needed to stay on track. Conduct regular site visits to inspect progress and resolve issues proactively. Coordinate with internal departments (purchasing, permitting, inspections, etc.) to remove barriers to production. Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of new Construction Managers. Analyze reports, KPIs, and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement. Build strong relationships with trade partners, suppliers, and inspectors to ensure a smooth construction process. Enforce company standards and ensure consistency across all projects.
Qualifications:
5+ years of residential homebuilding experience, with at least 2 years preferred in a supervisory or managerial role. Proven track record of managing multiple construction sites or teams effectively. Strong understanding of building codes, scheduling, and residential construction methods. Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities. Proficiency in construction management software (BuilderTrend preferred) and Microsoft Office.
