Position:
Lead Superintendent Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent to oversee and manage all aspects of multifamily construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate has successfully led at least five multifamily projects as the #1 on-site superintendent, with a preference for experience in wood-framed construction (block and plank also acceptable). This role requires a leader who can drive project schedules, enforce safety standards, and coordinate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily on-site operations for multifamily construction projects. Lead and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and construction teams. Ensure project milestones are met according to schedule and budget. Uphold safety standards in compliance with OSHA and company policies. Interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts to guide project execution. Conduct site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to plans. Maintain thorough documentation including daily reports and project updates. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to resolve issues. Manage site logistics and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to align expectations and resolve concerns.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience supervising multifamily construction projects. Must have led at least 5 multifamily projects as the lead superintendent. Background in wood-framed multifamily projects is preferred; block and plank experience also considered. Experience working with reputable general contractors or developers (apartments only). Strong understanding of construction practices, building codes, and site safety. Proficient in reading blueprints, contracts, and construction documentation. Skilled in scheduling and project management tools. OSHA 30 Certification required; additional safety credentials are a plus. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
