Job Description Assisting in the marking and identification of construction zones and areas for striping, lane closures, and installation of barrier walls. Setting up and removing lane closures at specified times and ensuring safety and compliance with DOT specifications. Delivering and setting up message boards/program boards accordingly Loading and unloading all MOT equipment/devices Assisting in MOT inspections of equipment Performing all other functions as requested by the MOT Supervisor Job Requirements Must be able to communicate effectively in English or Spanish Previous relevant highway/roadway construction experience is highly preferred Must be familiar with MOT/Safety procedures Must be able to lift 50 to 100 lbs. Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours (day time/night time) Should possess team work skills Must be accustomed to working in outside environment Ability to read and comprehend Roadway, TCP, and Signing plans Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend, crouch or walk for extended periods of time The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
